About Me

My name is Liz. I have had a deep passion for books ever since I was a child, to the point where my mom would take away my library card as a form of punishment. I read everything and everywhere I could, which would get me into trouble at school. Honestly it takes a special kind of book geek to get into trouble at school for reading.


Growing up I always wanted to be an author and had a collection of short stories, poems, and mostly completed (though highly unedited and slightly embarrassing) novels saved on my laptop. However, logically I knew I needed a more plausible career, but nothing interested me besides reading books or reading about books. So, I started working at my local library as a clerk. I held this job throughout college, besides the year where I was also a bookseller at a used bookstore in my city. This winter I hope to finish my BA in Media Communications and then go on to get my Masters in Library Science.


Other things I love besides reading include the band My Chemical Romance, horror movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and cats (obviously).
